What is fax number port rejection?

Porting is the process of transferring a number from one service provider to another. Some port orders are rejected by your existing provider (or their underlying carrier) due to various reasons.

Port rejections may be due to (but not limited to):

  • Complex service
  • Disconnected service or pending disconnection

Where a rejection occurs, we will communicate the 'rejection reason' that your carrier has provided GoFax.

We recommend reaching out to your existing provider to attempt to resolve the rejection. In many instances, you can resolve this with your provider and GoFax can resubmit the port request.

A 'rejection fee' is applicable for each rejection instance. See porting pricing for details
