Reply to the sender if SMS delivery fails

With this option activated, our system will send an email to the authorised sender’s address, confirming the SMS message was unsuccessful in delivery. This "off" by default. To turn this feature "on", tick this option and select "Save Settings" below.

Reply to the sender if SMS delivery is successful

With this option activated, our system will send an email to the authorised sender’s address, confirming the SMS message was successful.  This "off" by default. To turn this feature "on", tick this option and select "Save Settings" below.

Disable multi-message SMS messaging

If a single message sent via our system contains 161 characters or more (including spaces), it will be split into multiple SMS messages of 160 characters or less, with each SMS message attracting its own charge. When activated, our system will not send any message of 161 characters or more (including spaces) and will notify the sender that the message was not sent due to this limit. This "off" by default. To turn this feature "on", tick this option and select "Save Settings" below.

Send Email to SMS messages using the subject rather than the message body

If your email server automatically adds a signature, disclaimer or other information to the end of the body of every email, our system will include it in the SMS message content; this may push the character count (including spaces) over 160 and break the message up into multiple messages. When activated, our system will only check an email’s subject line for SMS message content and ignore the email body. This "off" by default. To turn this feature "on", tick this option and select "Save Settings" below.

Send automated alert for SMS messages that are not delivered within 10 minutes

While SMS is a rapid medium, it is still subject to congestion at the carrier level and will only be marked as successful once delivered to the destination mobile number’s handset (which may be switched off or out of range of a base station). For optional additional alerts, GoFax can notify the SMS sender via email if the message is not successfully delivered within ten (10) minutes of original SMS deliver attempt. This "off" by default. To turn this feature "on", tick this option and select "Save Settings" below.

Push URL for notifications of SMS delivery

Push URL for notifications of SMS delivery (aka Callback URL) is an option which allows a URL  to  be  entered and  the  URL  is  then  triggered.    Once  this  field  has a Push URL configured,  the  Push  URL  will  get  sent  automatically  after the SMS  has  been  processed. To turn this feature "on", enter your Push URL and select "Save Settings" below.

The URL is pushed regardless of the delivery status (i.e. delivery status of the SMS -  ‘Complete’, ‘Failed’, etc). The following is a list of the parameters posted in the API for SMS delivery notifications:

  1. Recipient - the destination SMS mobile number
  2. ID - Sent SMS ID
  3. Success - True/False
  4. Message- Possible responses to SMS delivery. See SMS Status codes.
