Can I add a fax header or header line using GoFax?
Yes. GoFax allows you to add a page count, send date/time, destination fax number and/or short line of text to the top of each page of fax you send.
Using GoFax's online fax send service , you can customise a fax header.
The following can be inserted the top of each fax page sent:
- page count
- send date/time
- destination fax number
- a short line of text (21 characters maximum)
GoFax always specifies the send date/time in GMT/UTC, regardless of the time zone configured in your account's settings.
You can set the header text:
-
for an allowed email-to-fax sender address/wildcard domain (see Manage allowed senders for fax)
- in the fax send calls when connecting to GoFax via the API (see Integration using the GoFax RESTful API)
You can activate/deactivate the page count, send date/time and destination fax number in your account's send fax settings (see Manage fax send settings).
GoFax applies no additional charge to activate/use these options when sending faxes.
Activating the "Add recipient's Fax Number to Fax Header" setting will satisfy section 9(1)(d) of the Australian Government’s Telecommunications (Fax Marketing) Industry Standard 2021 when sending bulk/marketing faxes.
