[Sending](https://support.gofax.com.au/en/sms?hsLang=en#sending) # SMS send status codes All SMS attempted using GoFax will return a status code with the result for the SMS attempted.    | Status Code (Result) | Description | **Chargeable** | | --- | --- | --- | | **Account is unverified** | Your account is not yet verified and the Send credit cost of your SMS transmission has exceeded the daily limit of an unverified account. [Contact GoFax Support](https://www.gofax.com.au/contact-us/) for more information. | No | | **Cancelled** | The SMS was cancelled via the secure customer portal or GoFax Support. [Contact GoFax Support](https://www.gofax.com.au/contact-us/) if you did not cancel the SMS and require more information. | No | | **Carrier transmission issue detected. Task may still be successful** | There is an unknown issue with the carrier. | Yes | | **Error sending message** | There was an error sending the SMS message. | No | | **Failed to deliver the message** | The SMS message could not be sent to the handset. | Yes | | **Initialised** | The SMS message is attempting to be processed by GoFax. | No | | **Insufficient credit. Please check your account status** | There are insufficient Send Credits on your account. Please login and add Send Credits or [contact GoFax Support](https://www.gofax.com.au/contact-us/) for assistance. | No | | **Message not delivered in allowable time frame** | The SMS message was unable to be delivered to the handset within 48 hours. Delivery attempt stops after this period. | Yes | | **Message reply received ok** | SMS response/reply collected to GoFax from the handset. | No | | **Message successfully delivered** | The SMS message is delivered successfully. | Yes | | **Preparing for transmission** | The SMS is pending delivery to the carrier network. | No | | **Sent to carrier for delivery** | The message has been sent to the carrier and message delivery to the handset will be attempted by the carrier. | Yes | | **The destination mobile number is invalid** | The SMS number dialled is invalid. | No | | **Transmission in progress** | The SMS message has been delivered to the provider and we are waiting on a response. | Yes | | **Unable to deliver message.
