When sending faxes via GoFax there are various status codes that are displayed during fax transmission attempts and final status codes provided for the fax delivery.
Status codes for during fax transmission:

Checks the fax document submitted is an acceptable file type and proceeds to attempt to convert the fax file.

Pre-processing of the fax - validation checks the "To" fax number and the fax document.

There are insufficient send credits on your account. Please login and add send credits or contact GoFax Support for assistance.

Queued for transmission
|
The fax is being processed and queued for transmission attempt.
|
Transmission in progress
|
We have connected to the fax number and the fax transmission of pages is in progress.

Validating fax |
Validation check involves: Document check, Number Validation, DNCR check before the fax progresses to transmission (applicable where DNCR washing is activated). |

The destination number was dialled but did not detect a busy signal or a timely pickup.

Connection but not a fax machine /
Failure to handshake with answering party
|
The destination number was dialled and the call was picked up, but we did not receive a fax handshake tone in a timely period. e.g answered by a person instead of fax.

Destination number blocked
|
The destination number either:
- Has a country code with a send rate of 3 Send Credits per page or higher and is not approved for sending on your account. Check whether the formatting of your specified destination fax number is correct; if so, please request that your account be authorised to send to the destination country code via support@gofax.com.au
- Is on an applicable Do Not Call Register and your account has the “Always use Do Not Call Registry when sending faxes.” option active in its Send Fax Settings. Please review your account settings and retry.

Error during transmission
|
The destination fax number was dialled and GoFax received a fax tone on pickup; GoFax commenced sending fax data but the call was terminated before GoFax received the standard “all data received “OK” signal from the receiving fax machine / service. Some, possibly all, of the transmitted pages may have been sent successfully.

|
The destination number submitted does not appear to be a valid fax number. Please check the number including the area code and try again.

Fax successfully sent
|
The destination fax number was dialled and GoFax received a fax tone on pickup; GoFax sent the fax data and received the standard "all data received OK" signal from the receiving fax machine / service. *

Your account has Do Not Call Register (DNCR) Washing activated on fax sending. DNCR Washing is currently unavailable due to Government DNCR maintenance.

*GoFax will only display a status of “Fax successfully sent” once it receives the standard fax signal for “All data received successfully” from the destination fax machine / service, which will then terminate the call. If the receiver is claiming the fax in question did not arrive or only arrived in part, this status indicates that the receiver’s fax machine / service has confirmed successful receipt of the entire fax.
